Kids of many ages sleep with stuffed animals. There’s no age at which a person needs to stop. When people tease you, just shrug and say “I like it” or “It helps me sleep.” Or make a joke, like “I tried sleeping with a real bear, but it kept stealing the covers.”
If you decide you’d like to sleep without a stuffed animal, try hugging your pillow as you fall asleep, at least for the first few nights. With practice, you’ll get used to sleeping without it.
