It can be frustrating when people ask about something you wish they’d ignore. Try to remember that they are just curious, not trying to bug you.
If you’d like, think up a short explanation you can give whenever anyone asks—like the explanation in your letter. You don’t have to get into details. Sum things up in a sentence, then change the subject.
