• scissors
• paper
• tape
• stickers and markers
• two used gift cards or thin cardboard

1. Cut two 11-inch-by-3-inch strips from paper. Overlap the strips and tape them together to make one long strip.
2. Accordion-fold the strip into 2-inch sections. Trim off any extra.
3. For book covers, use stickers and markers to decorate two used gift cards or pieces of thin cardboard. Tape one end of the strip to the back of each cover.
