You + a shoelace = magic!

Image How the Trick Looks
“Everyone gets shoelace knots sometimes,” you tell your audience as you tie a single knot (loosely) in the middle of a shoelace.

“When that happens to me, I get the knot out magically. To make it more difficult, I’ll tie the ends of the shoelace together with several knots.” You knot the ends together tightly six times.

ImageThen you hand the ends to someone in the audience and say, “Pull to make sure the knots are solid.”
After taking back the shoelace, you cover it with a bandanna or put it behind your back. In a few moments, you show the shoelace—and the knot has disappeared!

ImageThe Secret
Under cover of the bandanna or with the shoelace behind your back, open up the loose single knot.

Keep spreading the knot until it joins the stack of knots at the top.

There are so many knots that no one will notice one more!
