The duck ducked her head under her wing and went to sleep.

The frog closed his eyes and went to sleep.

The turtle pulled his head into his shell and went to sleep.

The duck woke up. She heard the sound of running water.

“Wake up, Turtle,” said the frog. “There is water in the pond.”

The turtle poked his head out of his shell and looked around. “Elizabeth saved us. I knew she would.”

Splash!
went the frog.
Splash!
went the turtle.

Up popped the duck.
Up popped the frog.
Up popped the turtle.
Up popped Elizabeth.
