Setting up camp

Dear Friend,

Snowcraft School is also called Happy Camper because “a safe and warm camper is a happy camper.” We shoveled snow into a big pile and created a snow cave where several people could keep warm in their sleeping bags. Using a saw, we cut blocks of snow and built a wall to protect our tents from the wind. Inside the tents, we cooked dinner on camp stoves while the storm raged outside.
