What You’ll Need:
- paper plate
- markers or crayons
- scissors
- glue or tape
- toothpick

How to Make It:
-
Fold a paper plate in half. Open out the plate and lay it flat, with the fold pointing up.
-
On the bottom half of the plate, draw the hull or body of a sailboat with the top edge against the fold. Draw water and waves around the boat to the rim of the plate.
-
On the top half of the plate, draw the mast and sails of the boat.
-
Color the entire drawing.
-
Poke scissors through the paper plate near the sails and carefully cut around the outline of the sails and mast. Leave any of the drawing that touches the fold attached.
- Fold back the top half of the plate to stand it up. If the mast wont stand upright, support it by gluing or taping a toothpick behind it, half on the bottom of the plate and half along the mast.
