How to Make It:

  1. Using craft glue, attach plastic wiggle eyes onto a tennis ball, with the seam on the ball as the mouth. (To keep the ball from rolling, set it in a laundry-detergent cap.)

  2. To make antennae, cut two 2-inch-long pieces of chenille stick. Tightly roll one end of each piece. Glue the unrolled ends above the eyes.

  3. Glue a loop of elastic thread or a large, strong rubber band on top of the ball. Glue the centers of three chenille sticks next to one another on the ball, with the middle one overlapping the glued-on part of the elastic loop.

  4. To make legs, bend each chenille stick down around the ball. Glue the sticks to the sides of the ball, but leave the ends free. To make feet, bend out the ends.

  5. Cut out four wing shapes from bubble wrap or waxed paper. Glue glitter around the edges. Glue the wings on the ball. To add a handle, tie the elastic loop onto a stick.
