Giant Yo-Yo
What You’ll Need:
- scissors
- ruler
- cardboard tube
- string
- tape
- two foam plates
- gift wrap
- glue
How to Make It:

Cut a 3-inch-long piece from a cardboard tube. Cut three tabs at
each
end, then cut a slit in the tube, as shown. -
Slide the end of a 2-foot-long piece of string through the slit. Tape it to the tube. Tie a finger loop at the opposite end.

On two foam plates, cut slits to fit the tabs. Push one plate onto the tabs at each end of the tube. Bend the tabs flat on the outside. Tape them in place.

From gift wrap, cut out a circle to fit on the outside of each plate. Glue the circles in place.

To play with the yo-yo, put the loop on your finger, and wrap the string around the tube. Let the yo-yo drop, then pull it back up.
