What You’ll Need:
- unshelled peanuts
- scissors
- ruler
- chenille stick
- wooden skewer or thick needle
- glue
- felt
- markers

How to Make It:
-
Select a long unshelled peanut for the body and a shorter one for the head.
-
Cut two 4-inch-long pieces of chenille stick.
-
With an adults help, use a wooden skewer or a thick needle to carefully punch through the width of the longer peanut near each end.
-
To make legs, insert a chenille piece through the holes in each end of the peanut. Bend each chenille stick down and roll the ends to make feet.
-
To make the neck and tail, poke a hole in each end of the long peanut, and insert a short piece of chenille stick in each. To make the head, poke a hole in the small peanut, and place it on the neck.
- Cut out and glue on felt ears. Use markers to draw eyes, a nose, and a mouth.
