What You’ll Need:
- large empty cereal or detergent box
- ruler
- pencil
- scissors
- construction paper
- gift wrap
- glue
- r stickers
- stapler

How to Make It:
-
Cut off the top flaps from a large empty cereal or detergent box.
-
Using a ruler, lightly draw a large X in pencil on the box front and another on the box back. The center of the Xs are the centers of the box front and back.
-
Make a mark in the center of the top edge of the box front and back. Draw a heavy pencil line up from the center of each X to those points.
-
Make a mark halfway down the edges of one narrow side of the box. Then draw a heavy pencil line from the center of the front X, around the side of the box through those points to the center of the back X.

-
Cut on the lines youve drawn, as shown in diagram 1.
-
Try to put an issue of a magazine in the box. It it fits easily, cover the box with construction paper or gift wrap. Decorate it with paper cutouts, drawings, or stickers. Write the name of the magazine on a piece of paper, and glue it to the organizer.
-
If the magazine issue doesnt fit easily when you try it in step 6,
cut away the rest
of the narrow side of the box. Use
the scrap of cardboard you cut away in step 5 to make
a strip about 2 inches wide. Cover the strip and the
box with paper. Staple the strip
to the box as in diagram 2.
-
Make as many organizers as you need to hold all of your magazines.
