USA Hummer

What You’ll Need:

• short cardboard tube
• paint or paper
• glue (if you’re decorating with paper)
• scissors
• ruler
• waxed paper
• rubber band
• pencil

How to Make It:

1. Decorate a short cardboard tube with paint or paper. Let it dry.

2. Cut a 4-inch-square piece of waxed paper. Place it over one end of the cardboard tube, and use a rubber band to hold it in place.

3. Make two or three pencil marks along the top of the tube. Poke a hole in the tube at each mark.

4. Hum into the open end of the tube, and “play” the hummer by covering and uncovering the holes with your fingers.
