Jazzed-Up Pencil

What You’ll Need:

• waxed paper
• glue
• empty thread spool
• glitter
• scissors
• tape
• pencil
• curling ribbon

How to Make It:

1. Cover your work area with waxed paper.

2. Spread glue over an empty thread spool. Sprinkle glitter on the glue. Set the spool down to dry.

3. Cut several strands of curling ribbon. Twist them together at one end. Wrap tape around the twisted section.

4. With an adult’s help, use scissors to curl each ribbon strand.

5. Glue the taped section of the ribbon into the hole at one end of the spool.

6. Insert the eraser end of a pencil into the hole at the other end.
