Travel Tic-Tac-Toe

What You’ll Need:

• marker
• ruler
• file folder
• glue
• twine or yarn
• heavy brown paper
• Velcro fastening strips
• cardboard
• scissors
• foam paper

How to Make It:

1. With a marker, draw an 8-inch square on one side of an open file folder.

2. Draw nine 2 3/4-inch-square boxes in the larger square. Glue twine or yarn along the lines.

3. Use heavy brown paper to make two pockets with flaps. With a marker, write X on one and O on the other.

4. Glue the pockets onto the folder opposite the tic-tac-toe grid. Glue Velcro fastening strips to the pocket flaps.

5. Write block letters X and O on cardboard. Cut them out. Trace around each one five times onto foam paper. Cut out the letters, and store them in the pockets.

6. Glue a Velcro strip on each side of the file folder, as shown, to keep the game closed when you’re not playing.
