What You’ll Need:
- pencil
- scissors
- cardboard
- construction paper
- bubble wrap
- glue
- glitter
- markers
- wooden ice-cream spoons
- wiggle eyes
- bead
- chenille sticks
- clothespins
- twig
- indoor plant
How to Make It:
-
Draw and cut out a heart pattern from cardboard. Trace around it twice onto construction paper and four times onto bubble wrap. Cut out the hearts.
-
For each wing, glue a paper heart between two bubble-wrap hearts (bubbles facing out). Put glue on the edges of each wing, and add glitter.
-
Use markers to color two wooden ice-cream spoons. Create a face on one by gluing on wiggle eyes, a bead nose, and a glitter mouth.
-
For antennae, curl the ends of two short chenille sticks.
-
Glue the antennae, wings, and the end of another chenille stick between the spoons. Hold them together with clothespins until the glue dries.
-
Glue the end of a twig to the back of the spoon. Wrap the chenille stick around the twig.
-
Decorate an indoor plant by inserting the stick end into the soil.
