Magnetic Messages

What You’ll Need:

• pencil
• paper
• ruler
• scissors
• white paper
• ½-inch magnetic tape
• colorful markers

How to Make It:

1. Make a list of words that you use frequently, including names of family members and pets, favorite activities, and commonly used verbs. Also include punctuation marks and word endings such as s and ing.

2. Measure and cut out ½-inch-wide strips on the adhesive side of ½-inch magnetic tape. It is easier to line up the paper when you use smaller sections of magnetic tape.

3. Use colorful markers to write the words from your list on the paper mounted on the magnetic strips. Leave just enough space between the words to cut them apart.

4. Stick the words to your refrigerator and start communicating!
