What You’ll Need:
- large piece of eggshell
- markers
- potting soil
- grass seed
- water
- bottle cap
How to Make It:
-
For each egghead, ask an adult to save the larger portion of an eggshell he or she breaks for cooking. Wash the shell piece, and set it aside to dry.
-
Paint a face on the shell with markers.
-
To make "hair," fill the shell with potting soil to within 1/4 inch of the top. Scatter grass seed on it. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil.
-
Drip water onto the soil.
-
Place the egghead on a small upside-down bottle cap. Put it in a window that gets morning sun. In several days "hair" will sprout. For different kinds of hair, experiment with different kinds of seeds.
