What You’ll Need:
- scissors
- ruler
- shoebox lid
- small rubber bands
- glue
- construction paper
- corrugated cardboard
- decorations
- crayons, pencil, or markers
- thin, clear piece of plastic
How to Make It:
-
Cut one-inch “deposit” and “withdrawal” flaps on two sides of a shoebox lid. Wrap small rubber bands around the flaps to keep them closed.
-
Glue construction paper along the bottom of the lid. Lay strips of corrugated cardboard around the edges of the lid and through the center to make a path for the coins. Glue the cardboard in place.
-
Decorate your bank, then glue a thin, clear piece of plastic (as from a large take-out container) over the design to hold in the coins.
