This is a common problem for many of our readers. Try to schedule a few minutes of cleaning time over the course of the day. Each day, you could set aside five minutes in the morning, five minutes after you come home from school, and five minutes after dinner to straighten your room.

Another idea is to “clean as you go.” Each time you play with a toy or read a book, put it back in its place as soon as you’re done. Put dirty clothes into a hamper each night. Small steps like these will help you keep your room clean every day.
